Carol Schieszer (aka Miss Carol)
Miss Carol has always been a creative soul, whose passion for the arts is evident in every aspect of her life. Her warmth, infectious energy, and remarkable connection with children and the arts make a lasting impression on everyone she encounters. It is no surprise that her background includes studying Art from the Kansas University and further studies at The Art Institute of Kansas City.
Miss Carol then embarked on a journey as an art instructor for The Nelson Art Museum's esteemed children's programs. For a decade, she poured her heart and soul into the education and enrichment of young minds, nurturing their artistic talents and fostering their imagination.
Inspired by her love for teaching and a desire to create a space that truly encapsulates her artistic spirit, Miss Carol made the bold decision to open her own creative sanctuary. Thus, Art in the Attic was born. Miss Carol converted her very own home, with its enchanting attic, into a haven for artists of all ages.
Since its inception, Art in the Attic has become a remarkable hub for artistic expression and exploration. The attic, once a mere storage space, now pulsates with the vibrant energy of creativity. From the moment one enters, a sense of magic envelopes the visitors, as they witness the transformation of ordinary materials into extraordinary works of art.
Miss Carol's personal touch and unwavering dedication to her craft have turned Art in the Attic into a place that not only imparts knowledge and technique but also cultivates a sense of community and belonging. Within these walls, creativity flourishes, and artistic bonds are forged.
Children, in particular, find solace in the nurturing environment fostered by Miss Carol. With her unique ability to connect with youngsters on a profound level, she gently guides them in exploring their artistic abilities and instills in them a love for colors, textures, and forms. It is truly a sight to behold when the little ones proudly display their masterpieces, each imbued with a touch of Miss Carol's guidance and encouragement.
But Art in the Attic is not limited to children alone. People from all walks of life, irrespective of age or experience, are welcomed with open arms. The atmosphere is one of inclusivity and support, where novice artists find the courage to embrace their creativity, whilst experienced practitioners discover new avenues for artistic expression.
